The Strategy of the Finnish Online University of Applied Sciences 2003 - 2006

Vision

"The Finnish Online University of Applied Sciences is a national cooperation organization of the Finnish universities of applied sciences. The objectives are to develop, produce and offer internationally recognized, high-standard and competitive educational services and study entities aiming at flexible studies. The education and services make good use of different teaching and learning methods and modern information and communications technology."

Excerpts from the strategy for years 2007 - 2009:

• The students are guaranteed equal rights for learning the skills of information technology and media literacy. Each student gains 100% of the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed for online studying.
• The students are guaranteed equal opportunities for student mobility in the Finnish Online University of Applied Sciences through the FOUAS Portal
• The student mobility from one UAS to another is promoted through common evaluation criteria, credit transfers and implementation models
• The content production focuses on courses aimed at a large number of students and on the other hand carrying out online the courses aimed at a small number of students.
• Electric transactions and technical solutions are developed in collaboration with the data management of the universities and universities of applied sciences.
