South Finland, ESF 3, Study Production

The ESF Objective Area 3 carries out the functions of the production groups and the development of portal services. The project is coordinated by TAMK/development unit and the project coordinator is Ari Vesikko.

When the project ends at the end of 2006, there will be 750 credits worth of learning object-based training products ready. There will be about 300 courses and 200 - 300 learning objects created in the production groups. 100 of these will be complete products. The project will also plan the supply and implementation plan for the courses offered through the portal. The output of the production ring will be presented in the seminar of the Finnish Virtual Polytechnic in the fall of 2006.

• the development of the eEnvironment of the portal has been completed
• the storing and management concept of the materials has been developed ensuring that the polytechnics have flexible access to the materials
• eLearning through the portal as well as the flexible use of the materials in different learning environments is enabled.
